| Visitors Build their own Connections |
The key ingredient to a successful exhibit is often missing: the connection to visitors' own lives. Even the most engaging exhibit may be lost on visitors if they don't assimilate the message into their own experience. We use technology to encourage visitors to relate exhibit themes to their own lives. We encourage conversations between visitors that are personally meaningful and provide the basis for collaborative learning in exhibits. Technology can facilitate this by providing opportunities for visitors
to create their own videos and animation, and by extending family learning
over the Internet after the museum visit. |
