Sitting in our (virtual) booth at the NEMA Conference

I’ve been hanging out in our booth at the New England Museum Association (NEMA) conference the last couple days, online this year. What’s that like? It’s a lot like sitting at my dining room table, posting comments, checking emails, running out for groceries…But also catching some good sessions and catching up with friends in our Zoom boxes.

It’s different. But we still connect. It’s still a great place try out new ideas, show people what we’re up to. On that front, I’ve been telling people about our new online recording service, StorySurvey, which integrates with our exhibit recording service, so visitors can participate both from exhibits and from home.

Here’s the intro video I posted in our virtual booth (for better or worse):

As I noted, we’re running a special raffle for NEMA: use our StorySurvey to submit a story of something you’ve made at home during Covid-19, and we’ll choose a winner for 2 free months of StorySurvey service for you or your organization. It’s quick and easy, and you can do it at this link: https://recording.storyhabitat.com/s/dznEanoX.

And, if you’re a quick reader, I’ll be doing a live online demo of StorySurvey this afternoon, 11/19/20 at 1:15pm EST, which I’ll do at this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86531102028?pwd=M0E4UjJVZ3lyNjF0M3o3SmI3K1N3QT09

Hope to see you there!
